Make sure that the manometer shows 0 bar/psi.
It may be necessary to let down the pressure by rotating the
handwheel on the pump counter clockwise.

To close the pressure relief valve, rotate the handwheel clockwise as
far as it will go.

Unscrew the spigot nut of the hydraulic hose at the connecting pipe
of the hand pump and pull off the hydraulic hose.
›
Remove the screw cap of the oil tank.
›
To drain the oil from the hand pump:
– By tilting the device, pour the oil into a oil catchment tray or
container.
– To meet environmental standards, fill the used oil into a container
adequate for disposal.
›
Fill the oil tank with an approved type of oil up to about 2.0-2.5 cm
below the top tank rim. (see chapter 8.3.1‚ "Approved hydraulic oils",
›
Open the pressure relief valve and actuate the pump lever several
times, to ventilate the oil tank.
›
After ventilation, check the oil level again.
›
Screw on the oil tank cap and tighten it by hand.
The hand pump can be installed again and put into operation (see
chapter 3‚ "Installation/Putting into operation", on page 21).
