When the radio picks up an incoming distress acknowledgement:
The radio beeps loudly for two minutes, to alert you to the incoming distress

acknowledgement, the working channel changes automatically to CH16. Press any key
except ESC OR 16/9 to stop the beeps.
At the same time, the LCD screen displays the distress acknowledgement and the MMSI
(or buddy name) of the vessel sending it. After one second, the LCD screen changes to
show the MMSI and position of the distressed vessel, including the type of distress call.
Press <ESC or 16/9 to cancel the LCD screen cycle, then press PTT to try and establish

voice contact with the coast guard or press <ESC again to maintain a listening watch
on CH16.

You can Relay a Distress Call from your Distress Log to an individual or to ALL SHIPS.
Press CALL/MENU to enter the DSC CALL menu, then select DIST LOG.

The most recently received distress call is the first entry(01) in the Distress Log. Select
