6.1.3  HWT

HWT “Heated Wire Temperature” means: 
with heating wire and with a temperature 
probe.

In this mode, both the temperature at the 
outlet of the humidification chamber and 
the temperature nearest the patient are 
regulated. 

In operating mode with heating wire and 
with temperature probe, the humidity 
intensity and the breathing gas temperature 
are kept in a narrowly defined area, whereby 
the humidity intensity can be selected in 
three steps.
