Remark
The expiratory time constant is a measure of the complete ex
-
piration while avoiding an auto-PEEP situation. For this measure-
ment, the expiratory flow is determined at 75% of the expiratory
vital volume and the necessary expiration time is calculated.
The following standard values are applicable for the necessary
expiration time:
1 x RCexp 63%
2 x RCexp 86.5%
3 x RCexp 95%
4 x RCexp 98%

Fastwean
Measurement values and indexes relevant for the weaning procedure can be
monitored in the “Fastwean” weaning window. Values in the “safe window” are
displayed in green, values outside the limits are displayed in yellow (the displayed
values as well as the limits may be different, depending on the configuration):

Touch the upper limit or the lower limit and adjust the corresponding value with
the selector.
These limits only apply to Fastwean, they do not affect other display elements,
such as Fastprotect.
The general alarms are also not affected.
