Connect the BNC cameras to the
BNC ports on the rear panel.

Test the cameras prior to
selecting a permanent mounting
location by temporarily connecting
the cameras and cables to your
system.

USB port on the rear panel of

Connecting the Power Cable
Connect the power cable to the
DC 12V port on the rear panel of
the system; connect the power
adaptor to an outlet, power strip,
or surge protector. Wait for the
system to boot up into the main
screen.
From the Monitor-OUT BNC port
connect a BNC terminated cable
to the RCA OUT of the LCD
monitor (not included).

The
Quick
menu gives you an overview of all
the available settings on your DVR.
To open
Quick
Menu:
1. Right-click anywhere on the screen in
the main viewing window
OR
2. Press the
MENU
button on the front panel.
NOTE:
If you are configuring the system, you
cannot open
Quick
menu.

Right click anywhere on the monitor screen and from the
QUICK
menu, select
SYSTEM SETUP
to access the
MAIN MENU

Powering On/Off the System
To power on the system:
1. Press the
POWER
button on the remote
control or front panel. The system powers
on. Wait for the system to boot up into the
main screen. By default, the system
begins recording continuously from any
connected cameras.
To power off the system:
1. Press the
POWER
button on the front panel
of the system. A confirmation window opens.
2. Click
YES
to shut down the system.
OR
3. Right-click anywhere on the screen. The
Quic
k
Menu opens.
4. Click
SHUTDOWN
. A confirmation window opens.
5. Click
YES
to shut down the system.
ATTENTION:
• * Number of Channels/ Port configuration and HDD (hard disk drive)
capacity may vary by model. Check your package for specific content
information.
• Monitor and Cameras are not included.
• Broadband Router and Computer are required for local and remote
monitoring (not included).
Connect the included DVI to
VGA adapter to the DVI port at
the back of the DVR. Connect
the VGA/DVI Cable from the LCD
monitor (not included) to the
VGA/DVI adapter.

Connecting the Ethernet Cable
Connect one end of the Ethernet
cable (for remote monitoring) to
one of the router’s (not included)
LAN ports and the other end to
the DVR’s Network Port.
Connect one end of the monitor’s power cable to its power port and the
other end to the power outlet. Press the
DISPLAY
button at the front
panel of the DVR repeatedly until you reach the desired display mode
(i.e. full screen, quad, auto-sequence).
Tip:
Adjust the contrast and brightness of your
monitor and the camera(s) color settings to
optimize the image quality.
1. Right-click anywhere on in the
main viewing window to open the
Quick
menu.

. The System
Setup window opens.

. The System
window opens.
4. Beside
DATE TIME
, click on the
time (yyyy/mm/dd; hh/mm/ss)
and adjust the values using the
buttons.
OR
• Double-click the values to open
the number window to input the
values.

DATE FORMAT
, use the
button to adjust the date format.

APPLY
to save your settings.

NOTE:
It is highly recommended
to set the time on the system
prior to doing any recording. All
recording must be stopped on
the system in order to set the
time.

SET-UP LOCAL VIEWING ON YOUR

The system automatically opens the
virtual keyboard when you double-
click a blank field, or when you need
to enter system information.
