OPERATION
To start the engine without the electric starter
1. Follow steps 1 through 5.
2 . W i t h t h e t h r o t t l e c l o s e d t u r n i n g s t a r t e r g r i p
counterclockwise to unlock and grasp the starter grip
firmly, then pull it out slowly until it seats lightly.
3. Pull the grip up briskly and fully.
4. After the engine starts, allow the starter grip to return
slowly and turning it clockwise to lock.
5. Follow steps 7 through 8.
STARTING A WARM ENGINE
To start a warm engine, refer to the "Starting a cold engine"
section. The choke knob should not be used. The throttle
should be opened slightly.
WARMING UP
To get maximum engine life, always warm up the engine
before starting off. Never accelerate hard with a cold
engine! To see whether or not the engine is warm, check if
it responds to the throttle normally with the starter (choke
knob) turned off.
Drive select lever operation and reverse driving
Before shifting, you must stop the machine and return
the throttle lever to its closed position until the engien
speed to the specified idling speed. Otherwise, the
transmission may be damaged.
