The hydraulic system incorporates a flow valve, so that the lowering speed of the fork chassis is
reduced in case of hydraulic circuit failure. In case of hose fracture, the speed is not allowed to
exceed 0.6 m/s. The flow valve is placed in the cylinder. The valve is set at the factory. When the
lowering speed with full load does not exceed 1.5
– 2 sec., the valve functions correctly.
4.2 Leakage
Check the hydraulic system under pressure with loaded forks. Lift to top position, so that the pressure
relief/safety valve opens. In general the hydraulic system shall be tight.
4.3 Cylinder
Check the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder up/down.
Check the fixing of the cylinder for cracks or fractures.
4.4 Pressure relief valve
The setting of the pressure relief valve shall correspond to the permissible lifting capacity of the truck
(nominal load + 10%).
4.5 Lifting and lowering speed
Lifting speed:
2-3 seconds
Lowering speed:
1-2 seconds
4.6 Hydraulic tank
Check the oil level of the hydraulic tank.
6. Plates
Check that the plates below are placed on the truck and that they are readable:
6.1 Type plates
Battery powered equipment with electric propulsion.
The type plate states name of the manufacturer, type of the pallet truck, serial number and year of
production. Furthermore the own weight of the product is stated on the plate.
6.2 Capacity plate
The lifting capacity of the fork bracket is identical with the maximum lifting capacity of the product.
The maximum lifting capacity is pre-set in the safety valve of the product.
A plate states the battery voltage.
6.3 Other plates
The safety markings appear from the instruction manuals of Logitrans.
Check that all operation symbols and all aid and steering functions are marked with symbols as
stated in the instruction manual of the product.
6.4 Type plate, battery
Battery powered equipment with electric propulsion.
