A070 - Bar Stock Insertion Malfunction
BAR STOCK INSERTION
MALFUNCTION

POSSIBLE CAUSES
:
-WRONG SIZE COLLET
-BURRS ON BAR STOCK
-MECHANICAL PROBLEM

Description:
The Bar Stock Insertion Malfunction alarm occurs during the loading sequence when the bar is not properly inserted into the collet of
the feeding pusher. The bar feed will try multiple times to insert the bar, after a period of time and the bar still hasn’t inserted correctly
this alarm is generated.
Solution:
Alarm needs to be cleared. Press the STOP key on the remote control station to clear the message and reset the alarm.
•
Make sure that the collet is the correct size for the bar stock being ran.
•
Check that there are no burrs on the back of the bar stock. LNS recommends that a chamfer be put on the back end of the bar.
•
Check that all the proper parts are assembled for the pusher. Refer to the
Guiding Channel Reference Chart
in the
Hydrobar
