Instructions for use
SCU 835 / SEC 15
7.2.3
S1 push button
This button is currently
not
used as an individual function.
7.2.4
S2 push button
If the
S2
button is pressed continuously for
five
seconds, the built-in
Micro-SD card
is ejected, if available. A
successful process is indicated by the green
LED
next to the card slot no longer illuminating.
If a
Micro-SD card
is inserted while the unit is switched off, the card is mounted automatically after the unit is
switched on. During operation, press the
S2
button
for
five
seconds to mount the
Micro-SD card
manually. In
both cases, a correctly mounted card is indicated by the green
LED
next to the card slot.
7.2.5
Push button combinations
7.2.5.1
Auto-function mode
Auto-function mode is required if
no
graphical user interface
GUI d-LISTconfig
is used. In this case an auto-seek is
started by automatically searching all sensors at cable port
I
and/or
II
and dividing them into cable zone
1
and/or
2
.
Procedure:
Button
MC-RESTART
and
S1
must
be pressed at the same time
.
Then release
MC-RESTART
, the auto-seek is started. This is indicated by the measuring cycle
LED
s
on the front panel lighting up.
Standard parameters are loaded in the
SCU 835
and stored including the sensor configuration in the
ex-
ternal flash
.
The monitoring operation is started immediately, i.e. after the preset measuring cycle time of
10 seconds
has elapsed, a new measuring cycle
is performed at
I
and/or
II
.
If necessary, a previously signalled fault on the
SCU 835
must then be acknowledged via the
FACP
.
Note
The standard parametrisation in the sensor control unit
SCU 835
corresponds to the response classes
A1N
according to
EN 54-22
. It is recommended to heat up the first and last sensor of each sensor cable
section to ensure correct alarm transmission to the superordinate system.
Important note
The sensors do
not
correspond to the logical numbering of the position in the sensor cable
SEC 15
via
the auto-seek function. If the sensor cables have been installed over different premises so that they can-
not be visually detected in their entirety, the graphical user interface
GUI d-LISTconfig
should be used
for device programming. This ensures a logical numbering of the sensors for their position in the cable.
7.2.5.2
Firmware update
A firmware update is generally
only
available via the
USB
interface of the device via the graphical user interface
GUI d-LISTconfig
.
Procedure:
Select the new firmware version on the
PC
under
Extras
-
Update firmware
in
d-LISTconfig
and start
the update.
During the update, the device is in flash mode. The mode can be recognized by the two dimly lit alarm
LED
s
I
/
II
on the front panel of the device.
After the firmware update the
SCU 835
starts with a device restart. All relays are set to the pre-defined state
and all
LED
s on the front panel light up. How long these
LED
s light up depends on the update size (this can
take up to several seconds).
Attention
This procedure may
only
be carried out by trained personnel. The device does
not
execute a measuring
cycle in flash mode. The two fault relays are set accordingly and the system fault is transmitted to the
FACP
.
