22. Cleaning of the GSG-NV after use
The cleaning of the machine should be done on an untreated sur-
face on the field.
Cleaning should be done with a spraying gun, which is supplied by
water out of the fresh water tank.
After use, the
LIPCO GSG-NV
must be cleaned thoroughly in-
side and outside using plenty of water; sodium carbonate can be
added for better results.
For the cleaning process itself, move the fan units to the closest
position and switch on the pump, nozzles and suction unit.
To clean the pump, fittings and hoses, fill the fresh water tank
with water and operate the pump for a short period. All fittings
should be actuated several times in order to ensure thorough
cleaning.
Take special care in cleaning nozzles and filters; it may even be
necessary to dismantle these parts to check for wear or damage.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Caution:
When spraying the outside of the
LIPCO GSG-NV
with water,
please note that the control box is only protected against splash-
ing water; never subject it to direct water spray or weather.
When spraying the machine, also retract all hydraulic cylinders in
order to prevent corrosion on the piston rods.
Caution:
To clean the various filters, first de-pressurize the liquid circuit.
