8 Motor Configuration
The motor usually is set up with the motor wizard, which sets all needed parameters.
Therefore a detailed description of the parameters will follow in the future.
8.1 Generic Motor Temperature Calculated
For third parties motors a generic calculated motor temperature model is used to adapt the
winding resistance and to detect excess temperature.
C Winding:
UPID 120Ch
R Winding-Housing:
UPID 1210h
C Housing:
UPID 1211h
R Housing-Mounting:
UPID 1212h
C Mounting:
UPID 1213h
R Mounting-Environment:
UPID 1214h
The sum of all R defines the static power losses (consider also T
W
and T
E
). With the
capacitance the thermal time constant can be influenced. The bigger the thermal capacitance
the slower the temperature will rise.
