3 Mounting instructions

WARNING

Installation and maintenance operations have to be carried out by qualified
personnel only, with power supply disconnected and mechanical parts
absolutely in stop.

For any information on the mechanical data and the electrical characteristics of
the encoder please refer to the technical catalogue.

3.1 Solid shaft encoders

•

Mount the flexible coupling

on the encoder shaft;

•

fix the encoder to the flange

(or to the mounting bell) by means of screws

;

•

secure the flange

to the support (or the mounting bell to the motor);

•

mount the flexible coupling

on the motor shaft;

•

make sure the misalignment tolerances of the flexible coupling

are

respected.
