Maintenance
The LES-391 system is designed to be durable and trouble-free for many years
of use. The largest maintenance issue is improper battery management. Both
the 370T battery and the LES-391 batteries need to be charged daily in order
for the system to operate properly. Correct charging procedure also has a great
impact on the overall useful life of the batteries.
In order to allow the charger to
completely charge the battery, the 370T and LES-391 power switches need to be in
the OFF position during charging.
The 370T and LES-391 should not be left plugged into the chargers for ex-
tended periods of time. If you are going to store these products for 5 or more
days they should be charged for about 8 hours and then stored in a relatively
cool location. If the length of storage time is several weeks or more, the
batteries should then be recharged before using. This system is shipped with
Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargable batteries. They do not develop a
“memory” problem like NiCad batteries, but these batteries should not be fully
discharged. The best battery management is to charge the batteries for 8 to 10
hours and then unplug them from the charger. It is okay to charge the system
for short periods of time.
System Care
370T Care:
Cleaning the microphone jacks, and battery contacts will help ensure that
your system gives you years of reliable operation. We recommend using a
“deoxidizer” or contact cleaner every 2 or 3 months.
Battery Maintenance & Care:
• When replacing batteries in the 370T or the recevier/amplifier, pay close
attention to polarity (ma to +, etc.).
• Batteries should fit snugly against the contact points inside the battery
compartment.
• Batteries are to be charged each night and over the weekends. They should
not be left charging over extended periods such as through the summer or
during Christmas and spring breaks. Prior to extended breaks, systems
should be fully charged and stored in a cool, dry place. After extended
breaks, re-charge batteries prior to initial use.
If you have gone through this checklist and are still having problems,
write down the serial number and model number of your system and call
