Settings and adjustments
Seat depth
The backrest frame is attached to the side
sections of the seat frame in such a way that
it can be slid in and out. The seat depth can
be continuously adjusted by moving the
backrest frame forwards or backwards.
n
Loosen the socket screws (E).
n
Slide the backrest frame in or out until
you have reached the desired seat depth.
n
Determine the precise size using the
graduation marks on both sides of the
seat frame.
N.B.:
make sure that the frame is straight,
that is, that the graduation marks on both
sides correspond.
n
Retighten the socket screws.
In the case of deeper seats the centre of
gravity is further back in relation to the back
wheels. Readjust the ride characteristics, if
necessary (see below).
Ride characteristics
The ride characteristics of the Canto Nxt are
adjustable.
n
Loosen the socket screws (A).
n
Move the wheel and wheel plate forwards*
or backwards (the back axle hole for more
stability and the front axle hole for a more
comfortable ride; the ride characteristics
are related to the seat depth).
n
Retighten the socket screws.
n
If your Canto Nxt is a manual wheelchair
that has tyre brakes, the brakes must be
adjusted.
* Not possible in the case of a push
wheelchair.
In connection with preventive safety, for the
Kelvin, and where the backrest is continuously
adjustable, the rear wheels are mounted in
the rearmost position in the factory.
Seat height
You can adjust the seat height to various
heights depending on whether your Canto
Nxt is a push or manual wheelchair. There
are 3 axle holes and 3 different telescopic
tubes available for adjusting the seat height.
For the manual wheelchair, the seat height is
related to the wheel size.
N.B.:
seat angles can differ with the dif-
ferent Matrixx seats.
