Settings and adjustments
The Canto Nxt has a wide range of settings
and adjustment possibilities with which the
wheelchair can be adjusted to suit all the
requirements of the user. Life & Mobility
recommends that you consult your dealer
with regard to the settings. You can easily make
adjustments yourself, without the use of tools.

Seat width
The width of the seat frame is adjustable and
can be set to widths of 37, 42, 47 and 52 cm. It

further in or out. This adjustment can be
made separately on the left and on the right.

* In the case of a manual wheelchair,
the wheel size and seat angle
adjustment might be a hindrance.
n
Lean or push your body in the direction of the top
of the slope. This will shift the centre of gravity of
the wheelchair to a better position and will reduce
the risk of the chair tipping over backwards.
n
Do not push the wheelchair up slopes while the
seat is tilted.
n
The person pushing the wheelchair must continue
to push the chair to prevent it from starting to
move under its own momentum.
n
Do not turn the wheelchair round on a steep slope.
n
If the wheelchair is facing across a steep slope, it
can very easily tip over.
n
Always keep your speed under control when
going downhill.
n
The accompanying person must reduce the speed
of the wheelchair via the push-handles.
n
If you are operating the wheelchair yourself, only
slow the wheelchair down by hand, not by using
the brake, as this can cause you to lose control of
the wheelchair.
