GraphIt

Using the LI-6400
12
GraphIt is a utility included with the LI-6400 programming that allows you
to view data in labelled columns, plot selected variables, do polynomial curve
fitting.
Accessing GraphIt
There are several ways to access GraphIt:
¥
From the Filer
Highlight the file to be viewed, and press
H
(or press the function key labelled
grapH
). If GraphIt is not already loaded, it will be
1
, and will be used on the
highlighted file. This means that if you wish to view stored data, you do not
have to have OPEN loaded and running; you can power on, press
escape
to
prevent OPEN from loading, access the Filer, and start graphing quickly.
¥
From OPENÕs New Measurements Mode
GraphIt can be used on the file being logged by pressing
ViewFile
(
f2
level 1)
while logging to memory or a file.
¥
From OPENÕs Utility Menu
The menu selection
ÒGraph Stored DataÓ
will run the GraphIt Utility pro-
gram described in the next paragraph.
¥
Run the program GraphIt Utility
ItÕs stored in the /Sys/Utility directory. The program uses the Standard File
Dialog to prompt you to select a file, then runs GraphIt on that file.
¥
From the data recompute program
The ÒRecompute Stored DataÓ program in OPENÕs Utility Menu uses allows
you to view source and destination files using GraphIt.
When GraphIt Starts
Before GraphItÕs main screen (Figure 12-1 on page 12-3) appears, the pro-
gram examines the data file to find a label line (the line that is used to provide
1.
GraphIt remains linked, so that it does not have to be re-loaded for subsequent
files, until you exit the Filer.
