Check Points
1. One PRIB should be installed on one of the slot No. 1-7 except the slot No.8 and EKSU. It is
recommended that the board is installed in the right slot of BKSU.
2. PLLU or PLLU2(issue 3 or later) MUST be installed on MPB.
3. For QSIG operation, check the mode setting method and the contact assignments of RJ45 type
connector according to the mode of line , TE or NT.
See the clause 3.5.
4. For QSIG operation, SMEMU MUST be required on MPB for QSIG operation.

5. The clock control cable should be connected to the proper position when multi-ISDN cards are
installed in a system.

3.4.6.4 E1IB Installation
E1IB provides an E1 (2.048Mbps) line interface with Pulse and DTMF signaling, but not R2 MFC signaling.
It can be optionally equipped with 3 CPTUs to monitor call progress signals. For using this board, the PLLU
or PLLU2 (issue 3) board should be installed on the MPB. If required, install the CPTU, on the E1IB as
shown in Figure 3.4.6.4.
It is designed to comply with the special national specification and application, so it may not
suitable for the other national specification and/or application.
