DIGITAL KEY TELEPHONE SYSTEM

3.3.3 RGU

Installation

The Ring Generator Unit is needed in the BKSU or SBKSU if SLIB24, SLIB48,SLIBII, and/or DSIB are to be

installed, to provide Ring voltage and Message Wait Source. According to the installation site, two types of

RGUs are available; External, Internal.

The external RGU is fixed with the two screws provided, on the wall outside the KSU and is connected to

CN12 (marking on PCB) connector on the system back-plane of Basic KSU or CN9 of Small Basic KSU. The

internal RGU is fixed on the bottom side panel with the two screws provided, inside the BKSU or SBKSU and

is connected to CN12 (marking on PCB) connector on the system back-plane of Basic KSU or CN9 of Small

Basic KSU.

A corresponding cable for connecting between external /internal RGU and BKSU/SBKSU is provided with

RGU in the same package.
