FRU Action
1 Inner Cover The inner cover actuates the operator panel cover
interlock lever. Check the cover for damage and be
sure it can fully close.
2 Operator Panel A damaged or obstructed cover interlock lever
located on the operator panel will not allow the cover
open sensor to turn off the Open Cover message.
Remove any obstructions or replace the operator
panel if it is damaged.
3 Logic Board The Open Cover message is sent from the logic
board when the operator panel cover interlock is not
pushed down. Push the lever down, if the Open
Cover message does not go off, replace the logic
board.
If you replace the logic board, go to the “Service
Adjustment Mode” on page 4-4 and perform the print
position adjustment, and the direction offset adjust-
ment.
