Preserving print cartridges

To ensure the longest life from your print cartridge and optimum 
performance from your printer, keep a new print cartridge in its 
packaging until you are ready to install it.

a Hold the damp cloth against 

the nozzles for about three 
seconds. Gently blot and 
wipe dry.

b Use another clean section of cloth to gently 

wipe the contacts. Hold the damp, lint-free 
cloth against the contacts for about three
