13.RS-232 Connectors
The RS-232 connector labeled 1 provides serial control. It is
capable of performing configuration downloads and flash
memory software upgrades. The RS-232 connector labeled 2 is
capable of supporting future developments.

14.Trigger Output Connectors
Provide 12V DC output to control connected components.
Two trigger output connectors are available on a removable
terminal block. The connector labeled PWR – the power trigger
output connector – is not configurable. It is activated when the
MC-8 is activated, and deactivated when the MC-8 is

The MC-8 Balanced rear panel is shown above. The MC-8 rear panel is shown on page 2-6. These rear panels
are identical, except the MC-8 Balanced rear panel includes balanced analog audio output connectors for the
Main Zone and Zone 2. The numbers in these rear panel illustrations correspond to the numbered items that
begin on page 2-5.
Never make or break connections to the
MC-8 unless the MC-8 and all associated
components are powered off.
