Getting started
Deploying the pawns (supervillains)
You must now deploy the pawns on your player grid. Make sure your opponent does not see
anything! Each player has 5 pawns, which can be arranged by respecting the following rules:
- The pawns can be arranged vertically on the grid, rows A to J.
- The pawns can be arranged horizontally on the grid, columns 0 to 9.
- The pawns cannot be arranged diagonally.
- The pawns cannot overlap other pawns.
As seen in the diagram below, each pawn occupies a certain number of consecutive squares:
Setting up the product and assigning the accessories
1. Make sure that the on/off switch is in the “OFF” position.
2. Insert the batteries by following the instructions on page 11.
3. Insert the vertical barrier in the middle of the electronic base. Make sure to insert it in the
correct position.
4. Choose the blue side (blue fire/action button) or the red side (red fire/action button) of the
electronic base. The red side is where the on/off switch is located.
5. Assign the 10 pawns: 5 blue pawns to one player, 5 red pawns to the other player.
6. Assign the 10 flags: 5 blue flags to one player, 5 red flags to the other player.
7. Assign the 6 action cards: 3 blue cards to one player, 3 red cards to the other player.
8. Assign the 2 inlay cards: 1 for each player, to be placed under the player grid.
Note: The inlay cards do not affect the gameplay. Their purpose is exclusively decorative.
9. Split the white and red pegs between players. Use the compartments on both sides of the
player grid to store them safely while playing.
Note 1: The coordinates mentioned above are just
an example. You can place the pawns anywhere
on your player grid.

: If you want, you can play with fewer
ships. The rules do not change. Just make
sure that both players use the same number
and type of pawns, to keep the game fair.
- Whiplash: 2 squares in a line (I3, I4)
- Loki: 3 squares in a line (F0, F1, F2)
- Red Skull: 3 squares in a line (F5, F6, F7)
- Ultron: 4 squares in a square shape
