Each participant in this network requires its own unique IP address which must be assigned
to it via the display. Alternatively, the DHCP process can be used.
The maximum length of a segment is limited to 100 m.

To set up an Ethernet network with other participants with linear topology, the AMS 308

makes available another Ethernet interface. The use of this interface reduces the cabling
requirements, as only the first AMS 308

requires a direct connection to the switch. All other
participants can be connected in series to the first AMS 308
