Installation slots for PCIe cards

2.2.9 CPU heat sink replacement

Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".

CAUTION:

The heat sink might be very hot. Turn off the server and wait several minutes to let the server cool before removing
the server cover.

To remove a CPU heat sink, do the following:

Turn off all attached devices and the server.

Disconnect the ac power cord from the electrical outlet.

Unscrew the heat sink with a torque screwdriver and follow the sequence 1-2-3-4 in figure.

To remove, reverse the steps above.
