Chapter 3 Installation

Step B: Connect Servers

Connecting servers to the 1754-A1T switch:

1. Connect one ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable to the server.

a) Plug the ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable's USB connector

into one of the server's USB ports.

b) Plug the ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable's video connector

into the server's video port.



Optionally, plug the ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable's

audio connector into the server's audio output port.

2. Connect the server to the 1754-A1T switch.



ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable: Simply plug the RJ-45 end

of the ThinkSystem USB conversion cables for Analog KVM cable into any channel

port.

3. Repeat the above steps to connect more servers.

4. Power on all devices as follows:



Turn on all attached computers



The 1754-A1T KVM switch as last device to be turned on
