4. Pivot the release button outward and push the optical drive from the rear until it is projected from the

front of the chassis. Then, hold the optical drive and completely slide it out of the chassis.

Installing the optical drive

To install the optical drive, do the following:

1. Prepare your server and remove the server cover. See “Preparing your server in advance and removing

the server cover” on page 53.
