Features
• Your server has four memory slots. Each slot supports 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB double data rate 4 (DDR4)
unbuffered dual inline memory modules (UDIMMs) with Error Checking and Correcting (ECC) technology.
• The minimum system memory is 4 GB.
• The maximum system memory is 64 GB (one 16 GB memory module installed in each of the four memory
slots).
Guidelines
• Memory modules from different manufacturers are supported.
• All memory modules to be installed must be the same type with the same voltage and frequency.
• When you install memory modules with different capacity, install the memory module that has the
highest capacity first.
Installation order
The following illustration shows the installation order for the four memory slots. Install memory modules in
the numerical order as shown.

Removing the memory module
Note:
The memory modules are extremely sensitive to ESD. Ensure that you read and understand “Handling
static-sensitive devices” on page 46 first and carefully perform the operation.
To remove a memory module, do the following:
1. Prepare your server. See “Preparing your server in advance” on page 47.
