Installing the TMM
To install the TMM, do the following:
1. Remove all external media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the server. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to
the server.

3. Remove the server cover. See
“Removing the server cover” on page 57.
4. Remove the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter. See
“Removing a PCIe card” on page 88.
5. Position the TMM above the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter and align the two holes in the
TMM with the two pins on the adapter. Then, lower the TMM straight down until it is securely seated.

6. Install the Lenovo ThinkServer RAID 720i PCIe Adapter with the TMM. See
