RP Candidate Configuration
Use these commands to configure a PIM router Rendezvous Point (RP) candidate.
RP Static Configuration
Use these commands to configure a static PIM router Rendezvous Point (RP).

Command Syntax and Usage
rp ­ candidate holdtime
<0 ‐ 255>
Configures the hold time of the RP candidate, in seconds.
Command mode : PIM Component
no rp ­ candidate holdtime
Resets the hold time of the RP candidate to its default value of
0
seconds.
Command mode: PIM Component
[no] rp ­ candidate rp ­ address
<group multicast address>
<group subnet mask> <IP address>
Adds or removes an RP candidate.
Command mode : PIM Component

Adds a static RP.
