After you install the processor, complete the following steps:
1. Reinstall the heat sink (see “Install the heat sink” on page 57 ).
2. Install the top cover onto the server (see “Install the top cover” on page 87 ).
3. Install the server into the rack if necessary.
4. Reconnect power cords and all external cables.
Rack latches replacement
Use the following information to remove and install the rack latches.
Remove the rack latches
Use this information to remove the rack latches.
Before you remove the rack latches, complete the following steps:
1. Read “Safety” on page iii and “Installation Guidelines” on page 31 to ensure that you work safely.
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see “Power off the server” on
page 10 ).
3. If server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.
4. If security bezel is installed, remove it first (see
“Remove the security bezel” on page 74 ).
To remove the rack latches, complete the following steps:

Both rack latches are removed and installed in a similar method.
Step 1. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to slide down the ID label plate on the right rack latch and place it in a
safe place.
