• Throw or immerse into water
• Heat to more than 100°C (212°F)
• Repair or disassemble
Dispose of the battery as required by local ordinances or regulations.
Before you remove the flash power module, complete the following steps:
1. Read
“Installation Guidelines” on page 31
to ensure that you work safely.
2. Turn off the server. Disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see
).
3. If server is installed in a rack, remove the server from the rack.
4. Remove the top cover (see
“Remove the top cover” on page 86
).
5. Remove the RAID adapter (see
“Remove an adapter” on page 33
6. Make sure the flash power module cable is disconnected.
To remove the flash power module, complete the following steps:

Step 1. Lift the flash power module slightly.
Step 2. Slide the flash power module out of the server.
