Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
1. If applicable, remove the security bezel (see
“Remove the security bezel” on page 137
).
2. Remove the top covers (see
“Remove the top covers” on page 168
).
3. Remove the air baffle (see
“Remove the air baffle” on page 43
).
Step 2. Proceed to the corresponding topic to the type of PCIe riser assembly to be removed.
• Riser assemblies with half-length adapters:
•

•
“Riser assemblies with full-length adapters” on page 103
Remove riser assemblies with half-length adapters
Step 1. Disconnect all the cables from the adapters and system board.
Step 2. Loosen the two captive screws; then, lift the riser assembly to remove it from the chassis.
