Attention:
Removing and installing this component requires trained technicians that are certified by Lenovo
Service. Do no attempt to remove or install it without proper training and qualification.
Attention:
• Go over “Installation Guidelines” on page 41 to ensure that you work with safety.
• Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see
“Power off the server” on page 13 ).
• If the server is installed in a rack, slide the server out on its rack slide rails to gain access to the top cover,
or remove the server from the rack.

Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
1. If applicable, remove the security bezel (see “Remove the security bezel” on page 137 ).
2. Remove the top covers (see “Remove the top covers” on page 168 ).
3. Remove the air baffle (see “Remove the air baffle” on page 43 ).
4. Remove both PCIe riser assemblies (see “Remove the PCIe riser assemblies and adapters” on
page 100 ).
Step 2. Remove the three screws that secure the security bezel cable module, and remove the module
from the chassis.
