DirecDoor Installation Guide
Installation
The DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board can be mounted in the DirecDoor Controller enclosure or
mounted in a separate enclosure. Installation procedures are provided for both installation options.
Note:
Do not apply power to DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board during installation. Damage to
components may occur.
Installing the DDIO in the Enclosure
Note:
You must install the DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board into the DirecDoor Controller
prior to mounting it to the wall. If you are retrofitting an existing installation, the
DirecDoor Controller must be removed from the wall.
1.
Install the four standoffs into the back of the DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board as shown in Figure

2.
Mount the DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board to the DirecDoor enclosure using fasteners as shown
in Figure

3.
Apply the wiring diagram label to the inside of the DirecDoor enclosure cover as shown in
Figure Mounting the DDIO Board in the DirecDoor Enclosure on page 51 .
4.
Wire the DirecDoor I/O Expansion Board in accordance with Figure Power and RS485 Wiring
on page 52 .
DS4 Relay K4 activated
DS5 Input 1; blinking indicates a fault, cut, short, or invalid value
DS6 Input 2; blinking indicates a fault, cut, short, or invalid value
DS7 Input 3; blinking indicates a fault, cut, short, or invalid value
DS8 Input 4; blinking indicates a fault, cut, short, or invalid value
DS9 Host interface TX (sent to host)
DS10 Host interface RX (received from host)
DS11 Reserved
