50-10 Maintenance - 8 Hours Splendimo 550 P
Cutter Elements Grease - Check for Leaks
Visually inspect cutter bar assemblies (1) for evidence of external leaks or heat
damage which indicate loss of lubricant.
If leak or heat damage is found:
Step 1: Remove cutter disc assemblies to determine which cutter element(s)
have lost lubricant.
For information on removing cutter disc assemblies to check grease,
refer to
page 50-20 .
Step 2: Determine cause of lubricant loss and repair as necessary.
Skid Plates - Check
Check condition of skid plates (2) under cutter elements.
Timing (Cutter Bars) - Check
Ensure blades on one element are 90° from the blades of the adjoining elements, as shown above. Center
elements
(1) , however, must be parallel.
If cutter elements (1) are not parallel, refer to page 50-40 .
