• Check disc (2) , blades (8) , blade retaining clips (1) , and blade pins (9)
for wear, damage, and looseness.
• Check leading edge of discs (2) for worn, cracked edges, and looseness.
Blades need to be exchanged also when exchanging discs.
• Check tightness of castellated disc nut (3) . Torque nuts to 150–250
Nm (15–25 kgm). Ensure split pin (4) does not protrude from pressure
block. Press pin down so it does not catch hay.
• Check skid plate (5) for wear.
• Check elements (6) and spacers (7) for damage and/or leaking
lubricant.
• Check for mud or other foreign material wedged under disc (2) .
WARNING: A falling mower can result in serious crushing injury or death.
Engage cutter bar lift lock before doing any work under machine. Adequately
support cutter bar when working under raised mower.
