ACHINE
When stopping machine, use the following shutdown procedure:
Step 1: Reduce engine speed to low idle.
Step 2: Disengage power takeoff (PTO). Wait for blade rotation to stop.
Step 3: Engage tractor park brake.
Step 4: Lower cutter bars to the ground unless mechanically supported with cutter bar lift lock as
described on
page 15-2 .
Step 5: Shut off engine and remove key.
NOTICE: For your safety and the safety of others, use this procedure before servicing, cleaning, unclogging
or inspecting implement.
A variation of the above procedure may be used if so instructed within this manual or your tractor manual,
or if an emergency requires it.

Use the following procedure to remove all hydraulic pressure before storing
machine for a prolonged period of time or before working on hydraulic system.
Step 1: Ensure tongue and mower are centered behind tractor.
Step 2: Fold cutter bar into transport position and install cutter bar fold locks
as described on
page 15-4 .
Step 3: Fully raise cutter bar and engage cutter bar lift lock as described on
page 15-2 .
Step 4: Secure pitch control cylinder stop in position (1) as described on page
15-5 .
Step 5: Turn valve (C) counterclockwise to open and move tractor hydraulic
control for cutter bar lift circuit to FLOAT position. Ensure pressure
gauge
(B) reading drops to zero. This will relieve pressure from lift
circuit.
Step 6: Ensure tongue swing/cutter bar fold lock valves are unlocked as
shown on page 15-1 .
Step 7: Move tractor hydraulic control for swing/fold circuit to FLOAT position
and cycle controller switch
(A) from “N” to fold and back. This will
relieve pressure from swing and fold circuits.
Step 8: Shut off engine and remove key.
