5.1.8 Maintenance after prolonged storage
• Grease the PTO shafts (page 5

7).
• Replace the gearbox oil.
• Grease the pivot points (page 5

6).
• Grease the drive line (page 5
‑
5).
• Grease the bearings of the transport wheel axles.
• Torque tighten the nuts of the transport wheels to 270 Nm (27 kgm).
• Examine the deflection of the rotors. Adjust the stop bolts if
necessary (page 5

13).
• Make sure the tyres meet the correct pressure (page 6
‑
3).
• Examine the Lotus for damage and defects. Repair or replace damaged
parts.
• Examine the hydraulic system for leaks and damaged parts. Repair or
replace damaged parts.
• Examine the gearboxes for leaks.
• Make sure all bolts and nuts are torque-tight (page 6
‑
2).
• Make sure all safety decals are not damaged. Replace if necessary.
