Make sure that the instrument is levelled.
1.
Place the laser guide target plate at a distance of 50 m and aim with the
telescope of the instrument at the crosshairs of the target plate.
2.
Loosen the safety cover screw (g) and move the safety cover (h) to the
side to access the vertical adjustment screws.
