7 Preparation before surgery
7.1 Transportation
WARNING
Danger of injury due to:
• uncontrolled lateral movement of the swing arm
• tilting of the stand
• feet in lightweight shoes could become trapped beneath
the base

For transportation, always move the PROVIDO into the
transport position.
X
Never move the stand in the extended condition.
X
Never roll over cables lying on the floor.
X
Always push the PROVIDO – never pull it.
X
Make sure that the movement range is free.
CAUTION
Surgical microscope can move without warning.
X
Always lock the footbrake when you are not moving the
system.
CAUTION
Damage to the PROVIDO due to uncontrolled tilting.
X
Grasp the handles securely before pressing the ALL-FREE
button.
Returning the PROVIDO to the transport position
X
Pull the stop lever (1) and rotate it into a vertical position.
X
Hold the handles and press the ALL-FREE button.
X
Move the swing arm up and down until the transport lock
engages.
X
Align the C sledge to horizontal position (2).
Make sure that the video monitor does not collide with the
horizontal arm and swing arm of the stand.
X
Turn the microscope carrier slight offset where the top red
arrow (3) pointing to the 1st segment (4) of step.
