23.1.1
Overview
Description
A device is the hardware which is connected to a chosen port of . Devices are
used to transmit and receive real-time data and to communicate with the receiver, for
example to download raw observations from a remote location.
Before using any device it is necessary to configure the interface with which it will be used.
Refer to "22.2 Accessing Configuration Interfaces" for information on how to configure the
interfaces.
Some devices may be used with different interfaces for different applications. For example,
a radio can be used to receive real-time reference data but a second radio could also be used
to simultaneously output NMEA messages.
