Startup and Shutdown
System Startup
To start the Aperio AT2 DX scanner:
1.
Press the power button on the front panel of the Aperio AT2 DX Control Station. You see the McAfee encryption
login window. (This utility protects the contents of the workstation hard disk by encrypting it.) You need to enter a
password to unlock the hard disk.
2.
Enter the McAfee password for this workstation. The first time you turn on the workstation, you will use the default
password shipped with the system:
scanscope
We recommend your administrator change the password as soon as the system is installed, so contact your
administrator for the current password if it has changed.
3.
When the Windows login screen appears, log in with the Windows user name and password. The first time you
turn on the workstation, you will use the default user name and password:
User Name:
aperio
Password:
Sc@nscope123

4.
Turn on the Aperio Image View Station monitors.
5.
Press the main power switch on the back of the scanner to the On (|) position.
The scanner takes approximately three minutes to initialize and place the stage in the home position. When the
scanner completes these processes, the status screen on the front panel of the scanner reads “Scanner Ready.”
