8.8.1 Carry out replacements
Proceeding:
Example 1:
The default month specifications of a date object
(1 = 01; 2 = 02, … 7
= 07, etc.)
should be replaced by short names (1 = JAN, 2=FEBR ... 7=JUL….).
Select the date object in the editing window of the job editor

First select
<Format>

from the menu bar and then
<Object>

from the drop
down menu. Alternatively you can use the respective direct button

to open the
object settings dialog box.
The dialog box

opens.
Select the
<Replacements>
tab

elect the element type „Months“

from the <Type> drop down list

Each element in the
<Name>
list

has a corresponding input field in the
<Replacement>
field list

. By setting the cursor into one of the input fields a virtual
keyboard opens

. Enter the required replacements for each element (1=JAN,

Confirm each input with the
<Enter>
button

of the keyboard.
Fill-in each required replacement in the
<Replacements>
field list

the list by using the scroll buttons

Confirm all changes and close the dialog box with the <
OK>

<Cancel>

to leave the dialog box without saving.
All changes are displayed in the editing window of the
