! Electrical products can cause death or injury, or damage to property. If in any doubt about
the installation or use of this product, consult a competent electrician.
1. Ensure mains supply is switched off before commencing installation.
2. Remove front panel and metal panel on the side from the body.
3. Mark appropriate fixing points on wall; check that fixings will not impinge on
concealed cables of pipes before drilling holes.
4. Introduce supply cable. ( Normally, the emergency fitting must be
powered from the lighting circuit feed)
5. Fix luminaire to the wall/ceiling using suitable screws.
6. Write installation date on battery and connect battery
7. Connect wires from unswitched supply to terminals on gear tray, brown to L,Blue to N
and green/yellow to earth (Non Maintained)

In the maintained emergency unit: for
LEDs always on , link terminal “Ls” to terminal “L”,install control switch between Ls
and L.
Note: if both “Ls” terminal not connected, fitting works as non-maintained.
8. Refit appropriate panel.
9. Switch on supply: In the non-maintained unit the green LED should come on indicating
correct battery charge has started. The LEDs only lights if the mains supply fails.
In the maintained unit, the green LED will come on indicating correct battery charge
has started and the LEDs will lights (if switched live on). When supply to the
unswitched live is lost, battery will operate LEDs in emergency mode.
