Chapter 3: AdminHD
Core Configuration: First Steps
Saving the Configuration
Having
an existing configuration, it is a good idea to save the data as an AdminHD
config.csv
file. This creates a copy, in AdminHD format, which can be opened later, or moved to another
computer.
1.
Select either
File

Save
, or

Save As
from the

Save
overwrites the current file name (if one exists).

asks for a new file name:

Select a path and enter a suitable file name.
You can use any name as long as it keeps the
.csv
suffix, but it is a good idea to keep the word "config" in
the name to distinguish it from other
.csv
files. See
You can also specify a default directory for your config files from the Extras ->
menu.

Click
Save
to save the
configuration onto your computer’s hard disk.

From here on, you can quickly update the file by clicking on
(from the main
) or pressing
CTRL + S
.
If you are making a lot of configuration changes, use
File -> Save As
to save different versions during the
programming. This will allow you to revert to an earlier version, if there is an
in your programming.
