Tone Generator
The system includes three internally-generated audio signals: LineUp, Mute and Binary Ones.
LineUp
This is a reference level test tone which can be used to check line up levels through the system. It can be
assigned as an audio input, and also supplied to a physical output (via a
).
The level is always 0dB. The default frequency is 1kHz. The frequency can be switched between 63Hz, 400Hz,
1kHz and 12.5kH, by assigning control signals to the
Line Up set f = n Hz
options (in the "System -> Definition -
> Audio = Internal" branch of the 'Tree Definition').
Mute
This signal is an internal mute (silence). It can be used, for example, as the
source for outputs that
are usually assigned via connect elements to set them to silence.
Binary Ones
This is an audio signal with all bits set to binary ‘1’. It can be used for measurement purposes.
