The light source should ensure uniform illumination distribution in the calibration
workstation.
The brightness of the light should not be changed, and ensure that there will be no
other changing light source around the workstation, such as a driving vehicle with
lights ON, etc.
5.2 Calibrating Camera-based ADAS
5.2.1 Calibrating the front camera
Generally, you have to go through the following steps to calibrate the vehicle
’s front
camera.
Connect the diagnostic tool with vehicle (See Chapter 5.2.1.1)
Open the App, tap
“
ADAS
”
to auto-scan the vehicle and navigate
to the ADAS menu. Or manually select the correct vehicle
software & system to be calibrated (See Chapter 5.2.1.1)
Follow the on-screen prompts on the diagnostic tool to do the
following steps (See Chapter 5.2.1.1):
1. Attach the corresponding calibration reference pattern to the
calibration frame
2. Adjust the distance between the vehicle and calibration frame
Use the adjustment screws to fix the base support, ensuring that
the level gauge on the calibration frame is centred and even (See
Chapter 5.2.1.1)
Install the wheel clamps on the rear tires, and position calibration
panel centred in front of the vehicle (Refer to Chapter 5.2.1.2)
Install the wheel clamps on the rear tires, and position calibration
panel in parallel with the vehicle (Refer to Section Chapter 5.2.1.3)
Set up the height of the calibration frame (See Chapter 5.2.1.4)
Follow the on-screen instructions to start the calibration
