
6.3.1 Limiting the current consumption
If your mains fuse is less than 16 A, the current consumption of the constant
temperature equipment can be reduced incrementally from 16 A to 8 A.
The maximum heating power is reduced accordingly. Establish whether other
consuming units or only your device is connected to the fused circuit.

Press [OK] to confirm the new value.
The value is accepted.
6.3.2 Safe Mode
Safe Mode
is a safe temperature state to which the constant temperature
equipment can be switched as soon as any malfunctions or errors occur.
Temperatures considered to be safe depend on the type of application
connected and should be entered on the LAUDA constant temperature
equipment before using the device for the first time. In the event of an error,
switching to Safe Mode can be carried out manually or automatically.
When Safe Mode is active, the constant temperature equipment continues
to run but the values preset here for the T
set
set temperature and control
variables are automatically set. In the Safe Mode submenu, you specify
how the constant temperature equipment should react to certain events
(actions):
Which events lead to the activation of Safe Mode?
Being activated manually via the constant temperature equipment.
Command via interface.
Being triggered by certain alarms.
Communication with the control station being interrupted.
What indicates that Safe Mode is activated?
