3.2 Mounting The Articulator To The Tractor
DANGER!

Before attempting to mount the Articulator to the tractor, be sure the PTO is disen-
gaged, then engine is off, the parking break set, and the transmission is in neutral.
The Model 721XRT Articulator can be mounted to most tractors which have a draw bar
tongue hitch. Follow the procedures listed below to properly mount the Articulator to the
tractor:
1. Park the tractor on level ground. Raise the 3-point hitch to avoid contact with the PTO
during the mower operation.
2. Turn off the tractor, disengage the PTO, shift the transmission into neutral, and set the
parking brake. Remove the key from the ignition.
3. Mount the Articulator tow arm to the tractor using the provided hex head bolt, hex nut and
washers.
NOTE: Make sure the distance limits do not exceed the limits shown below
before installing the shaft.
4. Mount the PTO shaft to the Articulator, then to the tractor. NOTE: Make sure the PTO
shaft is in the correct direction.
