THE
ATEX-EXP-DNS-400W-M20-HV
MUST BE OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE AND ALL APPLICABLE
LOCAL CODES. PROPER GROUNDING IS REQUIRED FOR SAFETY.
FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, ALWAYS CONFIRM THE RATING OF ANY KNOWN HAZARDOUS OR POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS LOCATION WHERE
THE LIGHT IS TO BE USED.
WARNING:
TO PREVENT IGNITION OF A HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE, THE SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHOULD BE
DISCONNECTED WHEN INSTALLING OR PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE ON THIS UNIT.
WARNING:
DO NOT SCRATCH OR CHIP THE LENS DURING MAINTENANCE. TURN POWER OFF BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION OR
REPAIR.
WARNING:
OPERATE THIS FIXTURE ONLY AT THE VOLTAGE OF YOUR SPECIFIC SUPPLY CIRCUIT. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN
DAMAGE TO THE FIXTURE.

INSTALLATION
1.
Choose a suitable location for mounting the photocell. 3/8”-16 or 3/8”-24
bolts are recommended for mounting the
fixture
with a minimum bolt
length of ¼” depending on the location. Make note of NPT hub locations
for attaching conduit.
2.
Run conduit following all required safety protocols and codes for the
location. Verify voltage indicated on nameplate and wire according to the
corresponding wire diagram.
If opening the enclosure is required for wiring:
1.
Loosen set screw on side of enclosure to open.
2.
Rotate lens counter-clockwise to open enclosure and reveal
internals. Move photocell aside for better access to wiring if
required
3.
Connect wiring.
4.
Place photocell back inside enclosure making sure no wires
are pinched.
5.
Replace lens cover and rotate clockwise to tighten.
6.
Add grease to rubber o-rings if necessary.
7.
Once lens is tight, tighten set screw.
8.
Power on and test for proper function.
